The fort is the morning. The old city is the rest. A taxi tour of both forts in one day skips the point.

Day 1 — Mehrangarh
Audio guide, the ramparts, and out before the coach groups fill the courtyard.
Day 2 — Clock tower and out
Eat in Sardar Market. One more lane walk. The train is easier than a night bus.

Stay

A guesthouse below the fort. About ₹1,800 with breakfast.

Move

One shared seat in. Walk after that. Leave a buffer on the day you go home.
